2020, woodblock print, 29 x 51 inches
Moses and the Burning Bush originates from a 1980 photo of a homeless man I met in New York City. In this time of the covid 19 pandemic, I thought of the ironies in directives to stay in our home to avoid spreading the virus. This piece speaks to our wealth inequality and tangentially to our political lack of will to care for at-risk citizens.
