While in isolation, I found myself finding comfort in repetitive actions. Mark making. Sewing. Folding. Things felt less lonely the more marks, the more stitches, the more folds I made. Art became so much more about the process of making and less about the outcome being made. Allowing myself to get lost in the action of making the mark, stitch, or fold, made time both slow down and pass quickly. These works are a literal depiction of time passing. Each repetitious action representing a passing minute, day, week, or month of isolation.
